Side Menu

The Side Menu is a filter sidebar shown on listing archive pages, allowing users to refine search results by location, category, price, rating, and more. It’s fully managed through the WordPress widget system, so you can easily customize it.

How to Configure the Side Menu

  1. Go to: Appearance → Widgets
  2. Locate the widget area (usually called): [Listar] Listing Left Sidebar
  3. Add the desired widgets (traditionally prefixed with [Listar]) to the sidebar area.

Available Filter Widgets

The side menu can include the following widgets:

Search Keyword

Allows users to search listings by title, content, or keyword.

  • Go to Appearance → Widgets
  • Drag [Listar] Search Filter into the [Listar] Listing Left Sidebar area

Location Filter

Filters listings by geographic location.

  • Go to Appearance → Widgets
  • Drag [Listar] Location Menu into the [Listar] Listing Left Sidebar area

Category Filter

Lets users filter listings by categories (e.g., Restaurants, Shops)

  • Go to Appearance → Widgets
  • Drag [Listar] Category Menu into the [Listar] Listing Left Sidebar area

Price Filter

Filters listings by price range using a slider or manual input.

  • Go to Appearance → Widgets
  • Drag [Listar] Price Range into the [Listar] Listing Left Sidebar area

Options

  • Slider: select option Range – interactive drag control (set min/max)
  • Start/End Input Fields: select option Input – for manual numeric input
  • You may define minimum and maximum price limits

Rating Filter

Allows filtering listings by user rating (1 to 5 stars)

  • Go to Appearance → Widgets
  • Drag [Listar] Listing Rating Rage into the [Listar] Listing Left Sidebar area

Final Tips

  • All widgets must be placed in the correct Listing Sidebar widget area for them to show on archive/listing pages.
  • You can reorder widgets to control the display priority.
  • Use dropdowns for compact filters and lists for quick scanning.
