Blog pages in WordPress serve as a container to display your site’s latest posts. This is a built-in feature of WordPress and is fully supported by the Listar WP theme.
Each post can be:
- Assigned to a category
- Tagged with keywords
- Attributed to an author
- Displayed by date or author archives
The Listar WP theme supports all standard WordPress post features and enhances them with multiple layout and style options.
How to Create a Blog Post

Follow these steps to create a new blog post in WordPress:
- Go to Dashboard → Posts → Add New
- Enter your post title and content
- (Optional) Add:
- Featured Image – displayed on listing and detail views
- Categories – helps group your posts
- Tags – for more granular classification
- Choose the appropriate post format if supported (e.g., standard, gallery, video)
- Click Publish to make the post live
You can manage all posts under Dashboard → Posts → All Posts.
Sticky Blog Post
A sticky post stays pinned at the top of your blog page, even as newer posts are published. It’s great for announcements, featured articles, or essential updates.

Steps to Make a Post Sticky:
- Go to Dashboard → Posts → All Posts
- Hover over the post you want to feature and click Edit
- In the Post settings panel on the right, find the “Status & Visibility” section
- Click the “Stick to the top of the blog” checkbox
- Click Update to save changes
That post will now stay at the top of your blog page until you uncheck the sticky option.

Blog Sidebar & Widgets
The Blog Sidebar is available only on single blog post pages, not on the main blog listing or archive pages. It allows you to display additional content, such as a search box, categories, or recent posts, alongside the article.

You can customize it with widgets:
- Go to Appearance → Widgets
- Open the Blog Sidebar or Blog Bottom widget area
- Add widgets like [Listar] Related Post, [Listar] Recent Post, etc.
